Project Texas Valor was founded on a simple belief: military service should create opportunity, not barriers.

As a veteran, Felix Garcia experienced firsthand the challenges that many service members and military families face after their time in uniform. While resources, benefits, and support systems exist, they are often difficult to navigate and rarely connected to a larger strategy for long-term success.

At the same time, Mary Garcia spent her career helping organizations prepare people for the future of work through workforce development, leadership, talent strategy, and community impact initiatives. She saw how rapidly technology, automation, and artificial intelligence were transforming careers, industries, and economic opportunities.

Together, they recognized a growing challenge.

Veterans and military families don't just need support navigating today's systems. They need the skills, resources, and opportunities to succeed in tomorrow's economy.

Project Texas Valor was created to help bridge that gap.
